Celiac Disease Gene Research in the News

The Victoria Times Colonist ran an interesting story on Celiac Disease  this week.

The story dealt with new genetic links to Celiac Disease that could speed the search for better ways for diagnosis and treatment.

British researchers scanned the genetic maps of more than 9,400 celiacs and found similarities that led to the disease.  Celiac Disease genes may also be linked to many other chronic immune diseases such as type 1 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis.
