My husband owns the Golden Grizzly Cookhouse located on the Trans-Canada Highway in Golden B.C. My husband is a celiac and we both eat gluten-free. It was very important for us to have menu items for people to enjoy that were gluten-free and delicious!
We currently offer a gluten-free pizza with a variety of gluten-free toppings to choose from, and gluten-free wraps that the cooks can use to make quesadillas as well as a substitute for a bun with many of our burgers and sandwiches. Most of our menu items are made in house and are gluten-free already. We just need to know so that we can adjust the cooking method – i.e. pan frying a burger and convection cooking the fries so they don’t get contaminated.
All of our staff are well trained to deal with dietary restrictions and we also offer a ”spreadsheet” menu to show guests what they can and can’t have (and why).
If you are travelling through on the Trans-Canada Highway check us out! We are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner (12 pm – 9 pm).
