My name is Aman and I’m the owner of Poppadoms restaurant in Kelowna. I noticed that we were listed in the Local Celiac Friendly Eating & Shopping section of Kelownaceliac.org, which is great.
I wanted to let you know that we have our own gluten-free menu, which lists out cross-contamination too. We sat down with an expert to educate ourselves, and then sat down with our chefs to go through every dish on the menu. We have a large Celiac-friendly menu, and have altered a few popular dishes to be completely gluten-free, including our Dosa, which is a thin crispy crepe from South India – it’s usually served with a lentil stew called sambar, but as we use an Indian spice that is wheat-coated, we substituted that for tarka daal instead, so it’s now completely gluten-free.
