It will be so nice to see everyone once again at the meeting on March 23rd. I trust that you have all enjoyed this great winter that we have had. I think that I have said this before but I feel that we do live in the best place in Canada and most likely in the world. When I hear of all the unrest in other parts of the world I sure am happy to live where I do. I also know that everyone is looking forward to spring.
I want to thank everyone who helped with the Christmas dinner and made it such a success once again. I know that it is a lot of work but with some of the members pitching in to help it made it fun and less work for everyone. Thank you so much for that.
The board of director has had a meeting to see where they can further cut costs and get back on track. I have not received a report to date.
The Gluten free certification program is starting to pay some dividends back to the CCA. If you go on the web-site you will see all the companies that have been certified. This is our guarantee that our food is truly gluten free so please support these companies as they have spent a lot of money to get this certification.
I would also suggest that it is our best interest to support the restaurants that are offering gluten free options. I am helping one of our local eateries with more gluten free options such as fish and chips, perogies and cabbage rolls.
I know that some of you have issues with going out to eat, once again I would say to you do not let Celiac Disease control you. (You control it!)
